AC Ryan heeft voor de Playon!HD Mini 2 een nieuwe firmware uitgebracht. De AC Ryan Playon!HD Mini 2 heeft dezelfde specificaties als zijn grote broer, maar dan in een kleinere behuizing. Hierdoor is er geen ruimte voor een interne harde schijf en ook moet hij het zonder een digital coax-aansluiting en cardreader stellen.
Daar staat tegenover dat hij zijn werk kan doen zonder actieve koeling. Tweakers.net bespreekt de mini en de 'gewone' Playon! HD 2 uitgebreid in. Deze release bevat een groot aantal verbeteringen en bugfixes, waaronder voor de vervelende problemen met ondertiteling.

I am getting major crashing issues with the mede8er firmware so currently upgrading to the last one posted a few days back. Today I have had at least 10 crashed and thats with only watching 2 TV episodes. It appears to crash when an episode has just started, within a few seconds the screen goes blank but the sound still plays. A few seconds after that, sound stops and the box is unresponsive. I also had a major system failure the other day where my box was stuck on the ac ryan logo on start up and required a firmware reflash to get going. I have recently seen mention of the mede8er firmware being installed on the PlayonHD Mini and I'm wondering whether this should be something I should do?
I currently have A C Ryan firmware r4824 and was planning to install the latest beta except it sounds like it is seriously flawed. Should I install mede8er? Where do I find the correct version for the PlayonHD Mini? What are the benefits of the mede8er firmware compared to A C Ryan?

I use HDMI 1.3 from my AC ryan to my HK (harman Kardon set) (AVR255) with the firmware from AC Ryan i get DTS HD Master etc. Wich firmware do i need to get to get this back to work?
